An identical machine to the PowerBook 180, the 180c offered major advancement: an active matrix 256 color screen with a resolution of 640 x 480.

History

Apple’s first color laptop, the PowerBook 165c was a disappointment.  The PowerBook 180c was what users had been waiting for.  The active matrix screen offered the same resolution as a traditional monitor.
