Mac mini (Early 2006)

Introduced: February 2006

The Mac mini (Early 2006) brought the Intel chips to the Mac minis.  There were two configurations.  The first had the 1.5Ghz Intel Core Solo, a Combo drive and a 60Gb hard drive.  The high-end configuration had the 1.67Ghz Intel Core Duo, a SuperDrive and an 80Gb hard drive.  Both configurations had four USB ports, optical audio in/out, Airport Extreme and Bluetooth.  They also included the Apple Remote.

The Mac mini (Early 2006) offered a few feature upgrades over the previous models, but the major difference was the new Intel chips.
