Running the PowerPC G3 processor at 350, 400, 450 or 500Mhz, the simultaneously released iMac/iMac DV/iMac DV+/iMac DV SE was available in Graphite, Ruby, Snow, Indigo and Sage.  The hard drive had 7,10, 20 or 30Gb of space.  All of the versions had FireWire with the exception of the 350Mhz Indigo.  The low-end models had a 24x CD-ROM drive while the higher end had 4x DVD-ROM drives.  The new Apple Pro Mouse and Pro Keyboard shipped with all the new machines.

This release represented upgrades to the entire iMac line.  At the same time, prices dropped.  The low end of the new iMac revisions was the cheapest iMac yet at $799.  The iMac DV was the first computer under $1000 available with FireWire.  The iMac DV+ saw a speed increase to 450Mhz and the hard drive doubled to 20Gb.  The iMac DV SE had a 500Mhz processor, 30Gb of hard drive and double the amount of RAM.
