iMac (20” Mid 2007)

Introduced: August 2007
Terminated: n/a

The iMac (Mid 2007) was both a speed bump on the previous iMac and a redesign.  The new case was aluminum instead of white polycarbonate.  There were three configurations available.  The 20” configuration running at 2.0Ghz had 250Gb of hard drive space and 1Gb of RAM.  The 20” configuration running at 2.4Ghz had a 320Gb hard drive and 1Gb of RAM.  The 24” configuration running at 2.4Ghz had 320Gb of hard drive space and 1Gb of RAM.  All models had a SuperDrive.

The new design of the speed bumped iMac (Mid 2007) was clearly influenced by the popularity of the iPhone, also recently released.  The new aluminum case was accented with black and the new keyboard was very thin and also aluminum.
